Do You Have the Son in Your Life?

The saying goes that April Showers bring May flowers. We have experienced much rain lately, and I think most of us are ready for more sunshine. There is another Son that you can invite into your heart and make him your personal Lord and Savior. The fact that I asked the Son to come into my life has been the reason I have been able to get through so many trials and tribulations over the years and to find a peace that transcends all understanding. For most of my life when I knew someone was facing serious problems or stressful situations, I would tell them to “have faith.” What I was telling them was to have confidence, belief, and trust in Jesus.

The Bible in (Hebrews 11:1) states, “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Over the years I have come to realize that true faith is more than just believing in God alone. It includes acting on that faith in your life by serving God and obeying His commandments. God will increase our faith if we fervently ask Him for it and seek to draw closer to Him in prayer and by reading His Word. Some religions believe that you must do things, like good works to be saved. To believe that premise would diminish what Jesus did for us on the cross. The apostle Paul makes it very clear when he says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9). The Christian faith has no foundation if we do not believe Jesus rose again on that Easter Sunday.

Easter is one of the most, if not the most, important celebration in the Christian calendar. It is when I along with other Christians glorify and give thanks for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. After His crucifixion, death, and burial, Christ rose from the grave three days later. By this, He conquered death and redeemed us from our sins. In my eyes, the most significant aspect of Easter is Jesus Christ’s triumph over death. If He had not risen from the dead or simply died and not been resurrected, He would have been thought to just be another teacher or prophet. However, His resurrection rebuked all that and provided final and undeniable proof that He was the Son of God and that He had overcome death once and for all. Moses stayed in the grave, Buddha stayed in the grave, Krishna stayed in the grave, Muhammad stayed in the grave and every dead pope stayed in the grave. His resurrection means every born-again believer will have eternal life. The purpose of Easter also means all that Jesus taught and preached during His three-year ministry was fulfilled.

The fact that Jesus gave His life for us is supernatural. There is no greater sacrifice than someone who lays down their life for you. Let this be a time of renewal for you and your journey. It is never too late to push the reset button and start over. Jesus is always about new beginnings and starting over. Now can be the beginning of the rest of your life and your best season can still be before you.

From our house to yours, we wish each of you a blessed and happy Resurrection Sunday. For our Jewish friends, we wish you a Happy Passover, and to everyone, we say, Happy Easter. #Jesus #Resurrection #SonofGod #Life #Forgiveness #SOG #CoachWendy
