What Are Your Intentions?

Although we have entered a new year and we have a new administration, we still have some old issues that have followed us into 2021. We are still battling the pandemic and facing economic uncertainty but for many of us, there is now hope that we can try and figure out what is the purpose in all of this? Do you ever feel challenged with why you are here? Do you ever feel stuck and not sure which way to turn? Do you ever feel like you keep bumping your head? Even experiencing downright frustration. The answer begins with understanding what are your intentions. Discovering your purpose and living life to the fullest comes from understanding your intentions. Your intentions come from your core and they are set by your internal belief system.

Over the years I have experienced many highs and lows. I understand what it feels and looks like to be a little uncertain even when you think you have done everything right. The pandemic has made some of us a little jumpy. We have had to figure out how to live in close quarters on a continuous basis and even rethink how we do everything from work to school. Marriages and families are struggling, and some are trying to just hang on. No matter what any of us are experiencing with the right help and the right tools we can manage anything. We can figure out what is our next step and life's purpose, even in uncertain times.

Once we understand what our true intentions are, we can then begin to do the real work. We must have a good reason why we get up every day and do whatever it is we do. Is it to just keep up with others or is it to really make an impact? No matter whatever your age it is never too late to discover your true purpose and the life you were meant to always live. One of my mantras is to tell those that cross my path that life is not living until you know your meaning, message, and mission. Oftentimes the challenges we face in life are just stepping stones to help us live out our true calling. The key is to look at our lives and identify the things we thought were problems and turn them into the pieces that make us stronger and successful not just for ourselves, but also for others.

If you are feeling challenged in any of these areas, you are not alone. Finding balance is key to achieving one’s desires and goals. A good place to start is working on eliminating the things you feel are holding you back. Removing obstacles and barriers will help with building the necessary confidence you will need to pull this off. Handling all of this will also require juggling the various balls in our lives. Eventually, you will recognize the power of possibilities that have been dormant in your life all along.

Oprah Winfrey said, “Intention is one with cause and effect. Intention determines the outcome. And if you are stuck and not moving forward, you have to check the thought and the action that created the circumstance.” My interpretation of this quote is that if we do not like the way things are in our life then we must change what we are doing. In other words, we cannot keep doing the same thing in life and expect a different outcome. Are you willing to do what you need to do to make 2021 a great year? Let us lay down the right foundation now during the first quarter so we can experience our wildest dreams. I am here for you. #coachwendy
